River boundaries
Map of Vancouver Island's salmon rivers from Great Central Lake to the Somass. Status: Stamp River open. Other waters are shown for context only.
Stamp Falls closure, upstream end. No fishing for anything between this sign and the one below the falls, Jun 15 to Nov 15. DFO places it 200 m above the fishway.
Stamp Falls closure, downstream end. The lower end of that closure, 500 m below the fishway. DFO also describes it as 225 m below the Deer Creek confluence.
Girl Guide Falls. Bait is banned downstream of here from Jun 1 to Aug 24. DFO places it about 275 m above the mouth of Beaver Creek, with triangular signs on the bank.
Ash River confluence. No fishing for anything from here up to the Great Central Lake Dam, including tributaries, Jan 1 to Apr 30.
Robertson Creek hatchery. The hatchery lagoon closures are here: no fishing Aug 25 to Oct 31 between the lagoon's inlet and outlet, and Oct 1 to Oct 14 for the 500 m above it. Both ends are signed on the river and are not in our sources, so this marks the hatchery rather than either sign.
Timing
No time-of-day closure listed for this water in the regulations we watch, so the sun times above are for planning rather than a rule. Openings still run only on the dates the limits state.
